I did some maintenance work on the Millennium Green at the back of Epsom Hospital last week.
An awful lot of wildlife depend on the trees and pond on the site to survive so it is important.
The local volunteers keep the area looking good, but it also has a natural feel to it which I like.
They do work on a regular basis which helps to stop keep bigger issues developing - conservation is better than cure.
The picture above is of me with one of the willing helpers who just happens to be my dad, Jim.
I must admit he is very useful but it is a bit odd that whenever there's any climbing to be done he always seems to disappear . . .
